CLU, Investment Advisory Representative, Mentor to Sharon

Sledge still proudly maintains his role as mentor to his daughter, Sharon. He is also founder of Educator’s Resource Group and an expert in helping educators understand their retirement options with TRS Texas at retirement and helping them invest wisely.

Over the years, he has helped educators take advantage of tax-deferred saving in 403(b) plans and other investment vehicles. Ever since his first 403(b) client was a Professor at The University of North Texas in 1968, Sledge’s 58-year experience in the Higher Education and School District retirement market has been unparalleled in the Metroplex.

Sledge earned the designation of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) in 1974. This prestigious designation was attained after working through a challenging three-year study curriculum (Master’s Level Courses) including all aspects of life insurance, estate planning decisions, the role that life insurance plays in wills and trusts, Investments and Taxation.

Sledge holds the Series 6, 63 securities licenses. He attained his Texas Group One Insurance License over 55 years ago!

Sledge enjoys hunting and fishing with his 80-year-old brother whenever he can. They are both in excellent shape! He also loves spending time in his cabin on the Sabine River in his spare time.
